Trump’s Visible Neck Rash Sparks Online Discussion After Medal of Honor Ceremony

Photos taken during a recent Medal of Honor ceremony on March 2 drew attention online after

viewers noticed a visible rash on the neck of Donald J. Trump. The images quickly

circulated across social media, prompting speculation about the 79-year-old president’s health.

Because questions about his physical condition

have surfaced periodically in recent months, the appearance of the irritation became another topic of public discussion.

In response to the attention, Trump’s personal physician, Sean Barbabella,

released a statement addressing the situation. According to the doctor, the redness

and scabbing are linked to a topical cream the president is applying to the right

side of his neck as part of a preventative skin treatment. Barbabella noted that

the medication is expected to be used for about a week, while the visible

irritation could remain for several weeks before fully fading.

The statement did not detail the exact condition the treatment is intended to address.

The rash is not the first health-related detail involving Trump to draw public attention.

Earlier in the year, observers noticed bruising on his hand during several public appearances.

Trump previously explained that he takes daily aspirin as a blood thinner for heart health,

which can sometimes make bruising more noticeable. Meanwhile, Karoline Leavitt,

a White House press secretary, suggested that frequent handshaking during public events may also contribute to the marks.

Additional discussion about Trump’s health surfaced in July 2025 when the White House

confirmed he had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after experiencing leg swelling.

Officials described the condition as common among older adults and generally manageable.

Trump has repeatedly expressed frustration with ongoing scrutiny of his health,

saying that routine medical information has often been used by critics to question his fitness while he continues his public duties.
